Here is my take on this, i co sign that statement by the captain inshallah (god-willing) the C’s remain healthy, guarantee 18 for the Bean. This would be HUGE for the City and fans as well the players and organization.

Paul was asked about how the Boston Celtics’ season will play out next year, and Pierce said he expects to win a title. But, only on one condition.

“Before the season even started last year, I was asked, ‘What is going to stop y’all from winning it all?’ ” Pierce said in a phone interview on Thursday. “The first thing I said was, ‘If we’re healthy, we’re going to win it all.’ And I’m going to say it again: ‘If we are healthy, we are going to win it all.’

“I honestly believe that. I think we’re the best team in the NBA, healthy.”

Pierce was speaking from New York where he was promoting the launch of his new “The Truth on Health” youth initiative. The program includes a web-based club, FitClub34, that provides children with resources to become more active.

The Truth Fund was founded in May of 2002 by Boston Celtics Co-Captain, Paul Pierce, as a means to streamline his charitable efforts and connect with disadvantaged children in the Greater Boston area and his hometown of Inglewood, CA. The mission of The Truth Fund is to provide educational and life-enriching opportunities for underprivileged youth by offering resources and programs that foster safe and stable environments.

The Truth Fund is a result of Paul’s community activism and a collaboration of the following outreach initiatives: Project Hope, Read to Achieve, Pierce’s Playground, Family Fun Day, Paul Pierce Turkey Giveaway, and the Paul Pierce Celebrity Softball Challenge.

As a result of his commitment off the court, Paul received the 2002 NBA “Home Team Community Service Award” which included a $50,000 grant to donate to the charity of his choice. Paul selected Project Hope, an organization that is dedicated to developing and providing effective family support solutions. He was able to refurbish their children’s center and playground with equipment, books and computer programs to promote literacy and reading readiness.
