Foxy, she smashed the big homie?

According to Foxy Brown, that may have been the case as it was implicated with her latest track “Let Em Know” featuring Lil Fame of M.O.P. and BAM.

Back in the good old days, the Brooklyn natives were known to deliver some smash hits together such as “I’ll Be” and “Ain’t No N*gga”, but who would have known that Jay was giving his own smash hits directly to Brown?

When the two were beefing, Nas was the first to spew out allegations that the two were messing with one another and some were under the influence that Brown became a little jealous around the time Jay was the head of Def Jam and signed Rihanna while putting her on the back burner, somewhat.

Brown allegedly created rumors that Rihanna was getting “extra help” with her career and was sexual with Jay Z.

The relationship became apparently became sour when she began to lose her hearing as sources reported that Hov felt like she was procrastinating on her album Black Roses and was in the process of completely dropping her from the label.

Whatever the case may be, the truth always surfaces. First, Beanie Sigel and now Foxy Brown airing out the past?

Check the track and be the judge.

Artist: Jay-Z
Album: Kingdom Come
Song: The Prelude
Typed by: OHHLA Webmaster DJ Flash

[Intro: snippets of Eddie in “Super Fly”]
You know, you’ve got this.. fantasy in yo’ head about
gettin outta the life and, settin the corporate world on its ear
What the FUCK you gonna do except hustle?
Besides pimpin… and you really ain’t got the stomach for that

[Jay-Z]
The game’s fucked up
Nigga’s beats is bangin, nigga your hooks did it
Your lyrics didn’t, your gangster look did it
So I would write it if y’all could get it
Bein intricate’ll get you wood, critic
On the internet, they like you should spit it
I’m like you should buy it, nigga that’s good business
Hehe, forget this rap shit I need a new hustle
A little bit of everything, the new improved Russell
I say that reluctantly cause I do struggle
As you see I can’t leave so I do love you
But I’m just a hustler disguised as a rapper
In fact you can’t fit this hustle inside of a wrapper
Back when crack was
What these pills are, I was a real star
Complete with real, cars, no video ones
You can come and set up a camera, let the video run
And my real life, complete with real, ice
VVS boulders oh they’re visibly set
Head and shoulders, my invisible neck
You see Hova, wasn’t digital yet
Befo’ Steve Jobs, made the iPod
Was gettin head, jobs, we call that intimate
Back when rappers wouldn’t dare play lyrical roulette
With a automatic weapon I was reppin with a tec
+Fresh+ like +Mannie+ be, chain like anti-freeze
Shoebox full of cash, dealer man hand me ki’s
Pantries full of Arm & Hammer, don’t take Nancy Drew to see
what it do, I’m a damn G
Just sent a million dollars through a hands free
That’s big money talk, can you answer me?
Before the answer was a 3
I was down in Georgetown with a Hoya chick, lawyer chick
Sure he’s rich now cause he saw the shit, all this shit
That’s why they call him Hov’, cause he came before all this shit
Bought a 6, quarter seven, skipped on them quarter eights
Bought a 9 for non-stop glock work all the time
Woo! Guess who’s back?
Since this is a new era, got a fresh new hat
Ten year veteran, I’ve been set
I’ve been through with this bullshit game but I never quit
I used to think rappin at 38 was ill
But last year alone I grossed 38 mill’
I know I ain’t quite 38 but still
The flow so +Special+ got a +38+ feel
The real is back, hehehehe

Spotted @ Ohhla

Artist: Jay-Z
Album: Reasonable Doubt
Song: D’Evils
Typed by: OHHLA Webmaster DJ Flash

[Verse One]
This shit is wicked on these mean streets
None of my friends speak
We’re all trying to win, but then again
Maybe it’s for the best though, cause when they’re seeing too much
You know they’re trying to get you touched
Whoever said illegal was the easy way out couldn’t understand the mechanics
And the workings of the underworld, granted
Nine to five is how to survive, I ain’t trying to survive
I’m trying to live it to the limit and love it a lot
Life ills, poison my body
I used to say ‘fuck mic skills’
And never prayed to God, I prayed to Gotti
That’s right it’s wicked, that’s life I live it
Ain’t asking for forgiveness for my sins, ends
I break bread with the late heads, picking their brains for angles on
all the evils that the game’ll do
It gets dangerous, money and power is changing us
And now we’re lethal, infected with D’Evils…

[Verse Two]
We used to fight for building blocks
Now we fight for blocks with buildings that make a killing
The closest of friends when we first started
But grew apart as the money grew, and soon grew black-hearted
Thinkin back when we first learned to use rubbers
He never learned so in turn I’m kidnappin his baby’s mother
My hand around her collar, feeding her cheese
She said the taste of dollars was shitty so I fed her fifties
About his whereabouts I wasn’t convinced
So I kept feedin her money ’til her shit started to make sense
Who could ever foresee, we used to stay up all night at slumber parties
Now I’m tryin to rock this bitch to sleep
All the years we were real close
Now I see his fears through her tears
Know she’s wishin we were still close
Don’t cry, it is to be
In time, I’ll take away your miseries and make ‘em mine, D’Evils…

[Verse Three]
My flesh, no nigga could test
My soul is possessed by D’Evils in the form of diamonds and lexuses
The Exorcist, got me doing skits like Homie
You don’t know me, but the whole world owe me — strip!
Was thought to be a pleasant guy all my fucking life
So now I’m down for whatever, ain’t nothing nice
Throughout my junior high years it was all friendly
But now this +Higher Learning+ got the +Remy+ in me
Liquors invaded my kidneys
Got me ready to lick off, mama forgive me
I can’t be held accountable, D’Evils beatin me down, boo
Got me runnin with guys, making G’s, tellin lies that sound true
Come test me, I never cower
For the love of money, son, I’m giving lead showers
Stop screamin, you know the demon said it’s best to die
And even if +Jehovah Witness+, bet he’ll never testify, D’Evils..

Lyrics: (call me Notepad Game Proper; the bold text is stuff I’m not entirely sure about)

Only rapper to rewrite history without a pen
No I.D. on the track, let the story begin
Begin
Begin

This is anti-Auto-Tune, death of the ringtone
This ain’t for iTunes, this ain’t for sing-a-longs
This is Sinatra at the opera, bring a blonde
Preferably with a fat ass who could sing a song
Wrong, this ain’t politically correct
This might offend my political connects
My raps don’t have melodies
This should make jackers wan’ go and commit felonies
Get your chain tooken
I may do it myself, I’m so Brooklyn
I know we facin’ a recession
But the music y’all makin’ gon’ make it the Great Depression
All your lack of aggression
Pull your skirt back down, throw a settin’ in (?)
Yeah, this just vilin’
This is death of Auto-Tune, moment of silence

(La da da da, hey hey hey, good bye)

Only rapper to rewrite history without a pen
No I.D. on the track, let the story begin
Begin

This ain’t a number one record
This is practically assault with a deadly weapon
I made this just for Flex and
Mister Cee, I want people to feel threatened
Stop your blood clot cryin’
The kid, the dog, everybody dyin’, no lyin’
You boys’ jeans too tight
You colors too bright, your voice too light
I might wear black four years straight
I might bring back Versace shades
This ain’t for Z100
0 ‘Ye told me to kill y’all, to keep it 100
0 This is for Hot 97
For Khaled, for “We The Best”-in’
Yeah, this just vilin’
This is death of Auto-Tune, moment of silence

(La da da da, hey hey hey, good bye)

Only rapper to rewrite history without a pen
No I.D. on the track, let the story begin

Hola
This might need a verse from Jeezy
I might send this to the mixtape Weezy
Get somebody from BMF to talk on this
Give this to a Blood: Let a Crip walk on it
Give me thou (?) to style on this
I just don’t need nobody to smile on this
You rappers singin’ too much
Get back to rap, you T-Painin’ too much
I’m a multimillionaire
So how is it I’m still the hardest nigga here?
I don’t be in the project hallway
Talkin’ bout how I be in the project all day
That sound stupid to me
If you a gangsta, this is how you prove it to me
Yeah, just get violent
This is death of Auto-Tune, moment of silence

(La da da da, hey hey hey, good bye)

Years ago, before Youtube, I used to look for rare hip hop videos the same way people look for hard to find sneakers: on Ebay. One night, I stumbled across someone selling a DVD of Jay-Z live at the famous NYC nightclub The Tunnel, filmed right around the time In My Lifetime Volume 3 came out. It was fairly cheap, so I ordered it, figuring it would at least be something cool to have in my collection of hip hop memorabilia. Anyway, I was going though some of my old stuff recently and I pulled it out to watch, and it’s doper than I remembered. Sometimes footage like this gets better with age. And since I couldn’t find it anywhere else on the web, I figured I’d put it up here on Westcheddar as an exclusive. My DVD has no tags or credits so I have no idea who filmed this and I don’t remember who sold it to me, but whoever did, PROPS ARE DEFINITELY DUE. It’s pretty good video and sound quality and shot right from the stage so you can see everyone up close and also get a feel for how off the hook The Tunnel crowd used to be during the late 90’s/early 2000’s (I never went but I’ve heard stories). The four part video of the full set (about 40 minutes long) features the original Roc La Familia in full effect, including Memphis Bleek, Beanie Sigel, Amil, DJ Clue, and even Pain in da Ass. Enjoy. It’s the Roc!!!!

Pt. 1 “Pain in da Ass Intro”, “It’s Hot”, “Jigga My Ni$a”, and “So Ghetto”

Pt. 2 “Can I Get A…”, “Money Ain’t a Thang”, “It’s Alright”, “What You Think of That”, and “Bleek Is”

Pt. 3 “What a Thug About”, “45 Freestyle”, “Who You Wit”, “Ain’t No Ni$a”, “Imaginary Player”, and “Jigga What, Jigga Who”

Pt. 4 ”Money, Cash, Hoes” and “Do It Again”
